10 Beauty Hacks

We all have those days where we run out of our favorite beauty products, and don't have a place nearby or you just don't have enough money to buy those high end brands and would rather do a diy at home! Because that is literally me and I feel you on this! Or maybe you just want to learn new tips and tricks for beauty. Here are some that might, just save your life - and wallet!

1. Remember placing glue on your palms, letting it dry and peeling it off when you were younger? Well, now you can use that method for those pesky black heads! A great alternative for pore strips is using multi-purpose non-toxic glue.
Dab the glue on to your nose or areas needed, wait for it to dry and then peel off! Another beauty hack is to use yogurt as a homemade astringent to follow up.

2. Getting oily skin in the middle of something important but don't have any oil blotting sheets in your purse or don't have a nearby drugstore?

Use disposable toilet seat paper. It is made of the same paper as your favorite oil blotting sheet. This trick is a life saver and even actress Kristen Bell lives by this! Blot your oily areas, which is mainly your t-zone (forehead, nose, chin). You can even steal some from a public restroom and cut it into business card sizes. And now you can be shine free for free!

3. As teenagers, we mostly have acne and pimple problems and a good in home treatment is ibuprofen! And now you're wondering what is that and how does that work? Well, it is non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) and is use to reduce fever and treat pain or inflammation. What it is is an anti-inflammatory.

Crush a couple ibuprofen (specifically 2 capsules) and mix with water to form a paste. Apply a small amount (when I mean small I mean really small. If you put too much you may dry out your skin!) of paste directly to the pimple and wash it off in the morning. But make sure you check with your doctor if it's safe for you! We all have different skin types so it varies for each person.

4. Wondering why you have crazy frizzy hair? It's main purpose is because you have applied too much heat to your hair or you're placing too many chemicals to your hair. And girl, you need to give your hair some rest. A good natural solution to this is is coating it in butter and leaving it on overnight. This will straighten it as well as giving it a glossy finish.
So that you have hair from looking like this:

to this!

5. Having problems with mascara getting on your lids and cheeks? Use a a credit card, or an index card, or a business card, or a even a spoon.

And make sure to set your under eye concealer with some translucent powder to keep your mascara from smudging on your under eye area.

6. Getting bored of your everyday lipstick and want to change it up a little? Take two of your lipsticks out of their cases and melt it in the microwave. Place it in cute containers. You can even add some petroleum jelly to add some gloss.

You can even give this as gifts or party tokens!

7. We all have that struggle of our lipstick not lasting all day and a good trick for that is using translucent powder and toilet/tissue paper!

For long lasting lipstick, first things first, you have to apply your lipstick of choice. Pull apart your 2 ply tissue, you will only be using one. Place it on top of your lips and sweep translucent powder on top using a brush. And last of all, apply your lipstick again. You can now have lipstick that can last all day and night!

8. Speaking of translucent powder, you can use it make your lashes looking full! After curling your eyelashes, sweep powder or even black eyeshadow (make sure its matte) onto your eyelashes with a small brush and you can build up your mascara after that simple step. You can repeat this by applying powder between coats of mascara.

9. Lip balm is more that just for your lips, you can also use it for as an eyeshadow primer! Apply a small amount onto your eyelids. A small amount goes a long way.

Another use for lip balm is using it to make your eyelashes longer and helps it curl. This trick was given to me by my best friend. Dab it onto your eyelashes with your fingers or a q-tip. Make sure your placing it near the roots, be careful not to get it in your eyes (you can even use petroleum jelly). I do this every night before i go to bed and right before applying my favorite mascara.

10. Want your perfume to stay all day without having the hassle of re-touching through out the day? This is where petroleum jelly comes in handy otherwise know as Vaseline.

Apply petroleum jelly on your pulse points before spraying your perfume of choice.

Hope these tips, tricks, and hacks helped because they sure helped me a lot! Stay tuned for more.

Until next time,
